During the archaeological excavations conducted in the medieval town of Akzhar, the staff of the museum-reserve visited the excavation site and got acquainted with the progress of research work.

During the expedition, ceramic products and other archaeological artifacts dating back to the XI–XII centuries were demonstrated, as well as their scientific significance was presented. In addition, a leading researcher at the Margulan Institute of Archaeology, archaeologist, PhD Sukbek Yeraly Shardarbekovich shared his experience on methods of archaeological research, the peculiarities of studying and scientific description of ceramic products discovered during excavations.
