There is a saying: «Those who do not know their history have a clouded future.» In this regard, the role of historical science in educating the younger generation and in matters of statehood is particularly significant. The deeper the roots of a civilization, the stronger its foundation and the brighter its future. In this respect, it is of great importance for Kazakhstan, which has adopted the «Rukhani Zhangyru» (Spiritual Revival) program as its main guiding principle. This article discusses archaeology — a fundamental branch of historical science — and its role in shaping historical consciousness.
