Great Figures of the Great Steppe – Pride of the Nation

Honoring the names of great personalities who played a special role in the formation of our nation, its recognition at the global level, and the development of its literature, culture, and state power is the unwavering duty of the present generation. In this regard, personalities such as Abu Nasr al-Farabi, Abai Kunanbayev, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, and others should be mentioned. By instilling knowledge of their achievements in the younger generation, we can strengthen the love of the rising generation for their homeland and nation.
On February 20 of this year, organized by the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a republican seminar "Great Personalities of the Great Steppe — Pride of the Nation" was held at the Youth Palace of M.Kh. Dulati Taraz State University, within the framework of the articles by Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev "Looking to the Future: Modernization of Public Consciousness" and "Seven Facets of the Great Steppe". Professors, lecturers, students, public activists, and media representatives participated.

The seminar was moderated by Inkarbekov Nurlan Omaraluly, Dean of the Faculty of Water Management, Ecology, and Construction at M.Kh. Dulati TarSU, and Director of the Museum-Reserve Bykybayev Nurlan Duisenaluly delivered the opening speech.


Thematic reports were presented by: Cultural Figure of the RK, holder of the "Kurmet" Order, Honorary Citizen of Zhambyl region, writer, publicist, dramatist, BAUYRZHAN SCHOLAR — Yelen Alimzhan; Head of the Department of Philosophy and Political Science at M.Kh. Dulati TarSU, PhD, Associate Professor, ABAI SCHOLAR — Kolbayeva Dina Duisebaikizi; Junior Researcher at the Otrar State Archaeological Museum-Reserve, Master of Philosophy, YOUNG FARABI SCHOLAR — Abduakhitov Yerkozha Seitzhapparuly.
Students read poems about great personalities.
Active organizers were awarded Letters of Gratitude and commemorative gifts. Rector of M.Kh. Dulati TarSU Professor Makhmetkali Sarybekov awarded a Letter of Gratitude to the staff of the Museum-Reserve for the high level of seminar organization and many years of fruitful cooperation.

During the seminar, the museum-reserve organized thematic mobile and book exhibitions.
