Abai's Legacy – Wisdom of the People

The 175th anniversary of the great thinker, poet, and philosopher Abai Kunanbayev, an invaluable son of our people, is being celebrated at a high level across the country. His poems and prose works, revealing the essence and dignity of humanity, a healthy lifestyle, and vital aspects of life, are an inexhaustible spiritual nourishment for the present generation.

On February 26 of this year, at the Balasagun central concert hall in Taraz, within the framework of the concert-composition "Bright Moon on a Windless Night" dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz" organized a mobile exhibition "Abai Heritage — National Treasure". Unique medieval artifacts found at the site of the sacred ancient city of Taraz attracted the attention of visitors. The portrayal of Abai by Honored Artist of the RK Askarbek Seyilkhan was particularly impressive. Regional head Berdibek Saparbayev, who viewed the exhibition, showed interest in the history of each exhibit.

In the concert section, stages of Abai life were presented, and prose works and songs were performed.
